Power Path ~ Full Moon Update May 5, 2012

There is a very powerful full moon coming up. It would be a good idea to sit down and meditate on this day. Focus on releasing any negative traumas and the manifestation of the New Earth.

Dear Friends,

Full Moon is Saturday May 5, at 9:35 PM Mountain Daylight Time. This is a super moon, the largest moon of the year and very powerful. Harness the power for some commitment or bid for power that you are working with right now. We remind you here that you do not need to KNOW all the steps and all the details of how it will all turn out. In fact it is best if you give the "how" of it over to spirit . Having the right intellectual information before embarking on a bid for power and a commitment to it is not essential. In fact it will often get in the way and hold you back from just going for it. Stretch yourself this full moon. Get outside your comfort zone and commit to something you never thought you could do. Just make sure it is something you want. We also recommend doing something that honors some kind of shift in your point of reference. As the earth goes though major changes, all points of reference must change as well. This full moon provides an opportunity to embrace the new in a very positive way.

Blessings,

Lena

Full Moon: Sun in Taurus; Moon in Scorpio 21º
Saturday, May 5, 9:36 PM MDT

We’re unlikely to miss the presence of the beautiful Scorpio Full Moon this month considering it’s the largest moon of the year. When the Moon is at perigee (closest to the Earth) at moonrise and moonset, it looks HUGE! We’ve just passed Beltane, May Day, the midpoint between Spring and Summer, and it’s the Wesak Moon when many celebrate the life of the Buddha. The Moon reaches its fullest point in Scorpio this month, the fixed, water sign of feminine power. The Taurus/Scorpio axis calls up our attachment to our security, comfort, appetites and endless seeking of material possessions and invites us to step over all that stagnate energy and dive deep into psychological motives and the mysteries of life where we see exactly what needs to be transformed. Taurus shows us how to know our own self-worth and value before we engage in the transformative intimacy and union that Scorpio desires and is so capable of. Transformation is the realm of Scorpio, Pluto-its ruler, and the 8th house. These energies are penetrating, probing, mysterious and intense. When we are willing to face our fears, the unknown, a dying and letting go, the result is a rebirth, transformation and an increase in our personal power. Not for the wimpy or whiny. Many avoid it like the plague. If you have ever experienced a significant Pluto transit in your natal birth chart, you know it’s change or be changed. Growth and evolution are the result. Watch for suspicion, obsession, vengeful thinking, resentment, deception – wrong path.

With ruling planet, Pluto, trine to Sun and Ceres in Taurus, asteroid ruler of the Great Mother and Nourisher, we are transforming our relationship to our mother planet and how we source food and resources from Gaia. Jupiter also moving through Taurus closely with the Sun is reminding me how far we have come in the local, sustainable, organic food movement since the last time Jupiter moved through Taurus in 2000 and how fundamental that is for our revisioning our culture.

For another few weeks, we continue with the pattern we have been holding the entire Spring which is a Grand Cross or Square consisting of the North and South Nodes opposite each other, crossed by the opposition of Mars and Neptune (joined by Chiron). Juno, asteroid ruling committed, meaningful, equal relationship is conjunct the North Node – the point that stretches us to grow in ways that furthers our maturity on all levels. The work here is to clear the way for equal partnership and relationship, for healing the experiences of the past and letting all that go, so we can move on to the next collective lessons. The Age of Pisces and its collective drama of patriarchal domination are over. Neptune in Pisces for the next 14 years will help us move to compassion for those events. Our collective Inner Warrior represented by Mars is now invited into the sacred temple space held by Neptune and Chiron to heal, regenerate and remember his true role as protector and guide.

Something that a Grand Cross makes one aware of is the lock in and resistance that can occur when parts of our selves go for the Taurus-like activity of resisting all change and attempting to preserve what has gone before. Scorpio, the polar opposite of Taurus is intrinsic to the polarity and transformation WILL happen – either gradually and consciously or catastrophically with big consequences. Form two lines, please.

Venus, as ruler of the Sun sign Taurus, is center stage with her upcoming, once every hundred year, Transit of Venus across the Sun on June 5th. She enters her retrograde phase May 15 to June 27. At the time of the Transit, she also begins a new eight-year synodic cycle. Imagine yourself entering spiritual retreat with time to contemplate what you value, the clear truth of your relationships, rekindling that which fuels your deep inner glow and true beauty of your feminine expression. Because Venus will have all the fire of the Sun behind her beaming her essence toward Earth as she stands in rare, but cyclical sacred alignment with the Earth and Sun, the essence of the Divine Feminine, our intuitive awareness, and our willingness to follow the path with heart will be strengthened on the planet and in all who open their hearts.

If you desire to explore the spectacular sacred geometry of this Transit of Venus and the pentagram that it describes in the heavens, I highly recommend the website and amazing animated graphics of Nick Anthony Fiorenza at: http://www.lunarplanner.com/HCpages/Venus.html
